Anime Pink is an exciting new Sparkling Wine from the same producer that has brought you Anime Prosecco, arguably the highest quality Prosecco we’ve tasted in recent memory. Perfectly apropos for Valentine’s Day, Anime Pink’s blend contains 5% Marzimino, a grape varietal immortalized in the second act of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s romantic opera, Don Giovanni. 10% Chardonnay and 85% Prosecco round out this delightfully crisp, refreshing yet surprisingly complex Sparkling Wine.

Enjoy its bright, vibrant flavors of apples, peaches and strawberries intermingled with a touch of bread dough not just on the 14th of February but anytime as an aperitif or with salads, shellfish, dishes with a sweet or savory sauce and fruit-based desserts. Although we can’t officially call this new sparkler Prosecco as the appellation laws won’t allow the winery to do so, think of this extraordinary blend as a super-charged Prosecco with even more aromatics & nuances than the “regular” Prosecco offers up.

* 2003 Monarchia Noir, Eger, Hungary

Monarchia Noir is an exciting new wine featuring the signature red grape varietal of Hungary, Kekfrankos. Hand-crafted by Monarchia's Head Winemaker Tamas Pok, this 100% Kekfrankos (Blaufrankisch) varietal can be thought of as a Pinot Noir with attitude! This Gamay-type clone is a distant relative of the Pinot Noir, hence the name of the wine, Noir.

Monarchia Noir is soft garnet red in color with medium body. Flavors of cherries and berries mingle with hints of chocolate, making this wine easy on the palate. It is ready to be enjoyed young, over the next 4-5 years.

Monarchia Noir is great with pasta, veal, chicken, pork, grilled and fried fish, and even holds up well with beef.

* 2004 JT Cellars Merlot, Russian River Valley, California

JT Cellars Merlot is a new release from the prestigious Russian River Valley of Sonoma. Our Tasting Panel deemed this serious Merlot worthy of at least twice this price. Very limited production.

JT Cellars Merlot is dark ruby red with a nose of plums, cherries, blackberries, earth, and tobacco. Medium-full in body with moderate acidity and supple tannins, the wine offers rich flavors of cassis, plum, raspberry, blackberry, and oak. Well balanced to enjoy now, it will drink well for 6-7 years. It is smooth, rich and polished on the finish.

Enjoy JT Cellars Merlot with grilled flank steak, roasted lamb chops, pasta, and cheeses.
