Ste Chapelle Syrah is our very first tasting panel selection from Idaho. The Ste Chapelle winery was founded in 1976, and there are now 16 wineries in the state of Idaho. Ste Chapelle takes great pride in showcasing the unique personality of its Idaho Syrah vineyards. Grapes were hand-harvested from steep sloping vineyards along the Snake River.

Ste Chapelle winemaker Chuck Devlin believes that Syrah is one of the best red grapes for this area. In a classic Rhône style, Ste. Chapelle Syrahs have silky red fruit aromas with hints of smoke, leather, pepper and a touch of bacon. Flavors are complex and spicy, with notes of plum, blackberry, cherry and cocoa. The winemaker emphasizes the ripe fruit character with extended maceration on the skins before fermentation, resulting in a dark, rich, flavorful dinner wine. Aged 6 months in French and American oak. Nice length on the finish.

Enjoy Ste Chapelle Syrah with roast duck, wild game, roasts and hearty stews.

"Case discount price" reflects a 10% case discount (5% on Sparkling Wines) for any mixed-case purchase of 12 bottles or more shipped to a single address. "Special prices" (e.g. on gift sets) are final prices for any order, and these bottles also count toward a 12-bottle minimum to qualify for a case discount.
