August "Joe" Briggs has steadily risen in stature in the California wine community. Since graduating with his enology degree in 1984, he has moved from expert consultant winemaker at some great-name wineries to owning his first property on the highly respected Silverado Trail in 2002.

This is one of those rare Napa Cabernets that is both big and elegant. Starts with bold, intense flavors of black cherry fruit and finishes with complex aromas of cocoa, earth and smoky oak that lingers. Swirl this one and serve it with roasts and your favorite BBQ meats.
