Vina Mambrilla Alidis Crianza is a beautiful expression of the Tempranillo grape. Bodegas Mambrilla in Spain’s Ribera del Duero region has harvested vines on this property since the 11th century. Today the Arranz Brothers own the 50-hectare Vina Mambrilla.

A thick texture and chewy tannins give this red a monolithic aspect, but there's a core of plum, prune and blackberry fruit, and the coffee-scented oak is well-integrated. Impressive but reserved.
