Wow! We're proud to offer a library release of one of the greatest Aussie Shiraz-based wines of all time! A mere 36 bottles are available--DON'T MISS OUT!

This is not only a single vineyard wine but a Barossa Shiraz with a true claim to being handcrafted; rod and spur hand pruned vines, hand picked grapes, open top fermentation, basket pressing and French barriques are all part of the mix here. The wine is racked 2-3 times prior to being sent for bottling (without filtration), with hand labelling and packaging upon its return. With the small amount involved, attention to detail remains a priority. The wine has developed into a characteristic Barossa Shiraz with the color, concentrated black fruits, dark chocolate, mocha and spice that comes with such a heritage.

The Wine Advocate raves, awarding the wine an incredible 95 POINTS: "A fabulous example of old vine Shiraz, this offering displays a surreal combination of purity, elegance, and delineation with enormous concentration and intensity. Its black/purple color is accompanied by aromas of espresso roast intermingled with blackberries, creme de cassis, melted licorice, bacon fat, and a touch of subtle oak. This is a ripe, full-bodied effort. The 2003 had a slim edge over the 2002 in terms of elegance, but at this level of quality, to choose one over the other is splitting hairs. This is a well-endowed, super-concentrated Shiraz with more elegance and finesse than typical for these blockbusters from South Australia. It should evolve for 12-15+ years."
