We've been quite enamored with Pocas since we first tasted Novus, the little brother to 2004 Pocas Douro Red Reserve.

Both Wine Spectator (92 points) and Wine Enthusiast (92 points) share our enthusiasm over this fantastic new release. 2004 Pocas Red Douro Reserva is an immensely concentrated red with gobs of dark fruit.

The Wine Spectator raves in the January 31st, 2008 issue about the 600 six-pack production (!!!) gem: "A concentrated red in a dry Port style, with intense aromas and flavors of dark currant, kirsch, cherry and spice. This is no-holds barred with the tannins, showing a deep vein of dark chocolate and espresso flavors that linger with plenty of grip on the finish...Drink now through 2015."

A blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca, this blockbuster of a wine marries beautifully with grilled meats, game, lamb, roasts and hard cheeses.
