Pocas has been no stranger to us for the last year and a half. Finally, the Wine Spectator has caught on as well, giving Pocas Red Reserva 2004 a 92 point score and raving about its less expensive, little brother: "refined red from the Douro, with concentrated flavors of sandalwood, red cherry and plum. Has plenty of acidity and structure to back it up. Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca and Tinto Cão. Drink now through 2013. 2,500 cases made. 89 points."

Quite new world in style, this wine has incredible depth and length, especially considering the price point. A great find to enjoy with heartier cuisine, spicy food and hard cheeses, but also pasta dishes and pizza on a Tuesday night.
