Paulinshof Rot-Schiefer Riesling is named for the “Red Slate” hillside soils of the Mosel where it was grown. Weingut Paulinshof was founded in 936 by monks of the St. Paulin church. The estate today ranks among the top 100 vineyards in Germany. Estate-bottled, this wine shows off the beauty of the noble Riesling grape.

Paulinshof Rot-Schiefer Riesling is straw yellow-green in color with a fragrant nose of apricots, peaches, green apples, citrus, and mineral notes. This medium-bodied white gives the perception of sweetness with a dry finish, beautifully balanced with its crisp acidity. It offers rich flavors of apricots, green apples, citrus and spice. Fermented in stainless steel; no oak. This wine is elegant, complex and food-friendly, bright and flavorful on the finish.

Note: This bottle uses an innovative, re-usable glass stopper for closure. To open, turn the capsule one full turn to break the capsule seal. Then remove the black capsule, twist off the glass stopper and enjoy the wine. The glass stopper may be easily re-inserted to close unfinished bottles. It's elegant and eliminates the risk of a tainted natural cork.



"Case discount price" reflects a 10% case discount (5% on Sparkling Wines) for any mixed-case purchase of 12 bottles or more shipped to a single address.
