Chardonnay for the purist! Only 574 cases produced. Crisp, natural acidity and the ranch's distictive minerality are evident in this stunning effort from two vineyard blocks, Vista and Plateau.

Located on a sloping plateau that rises to 1440 feet above sea level, Oakville Ranch was one of the true pioneers in the appellation in 1989. Since then, several other extremely prestigious wineries have become neighbors, drawn to this hillside for its powerful, signature red volcanic soils.

Move over Kistler, Flowers, Ramey et. al.--Oakville Ranch is ONE IMPRESSIVE CHARDONNAY! Restaurant Wine calls it "Best-ever Chardonnay from this winery," awarding it with 4 1/2 stars!

Built to last, 2006 Oakville Ranch Chardonnay is perfect now and over the next 8 years with lobster, chicken, white meat fish and pasta with cream sauces. For that matter, it is sufficiently impressive to just savor on its own and marvel at the burgundian complexity so seldomly found in California Chardonnay!
