This is only the second release of Monarchia Winery Battonage Chardonnay, made, as the name implies, with extended lees contact. The result is a stunning amalgam of new world texture and Burgundian sophistication.

Aged in 50% new French oak, 2005 Monarchia Winery Battonage Chardonnay compares VERY favorably with White Burgundies costing twice as much.
