Italian white wine just doesn't get any more expressive than this one! Moncaro Verdicchio is made from 100% Verdicchio grapes from Moncaro's best vineyards in the appellation Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi in the Marches region of Italy. This full-bodied white offers an attractive alternative to Chardonnay as well as to lighter-bodied Italian varietals. According to Robert Parker, "Moncaro has now moved into higher gear with the decision to engage Riccardo Cotarella to supervise the winemaking selections. I imagine, nonetheless, that we are just at the beginning here." Don't miss this one!

Moncaro Verdicchio Verde di Ca Ruptae is straw yellow in color with a nose of stone fruits, green apples, citrus, almond, and mineral notes. Medium-full in body with bright acidity, this wine offers rich flavors of apricots, citrus, green apples, and almonds, with no oak. Extended lees contact has created richer flavors and complexity. Beautifully balanced to enjoy over the next 4-5 years, it is crisp and flavorful on the finish.
