Simply terrific Chardonnay that's a hypothetical amalgam of a higher end White Burgundy and a delicately oaked California Chardonnay.

Bright acidity, nice minerality and juicy, apple and pear fruit are framed by just enough oak to remind you that this is indeed Chardonnay, and a very versatile one at that.

Situated on the slopes of the Southern Mt Lofty ranges, between Victor Harbor and Mount Compass (approximately fifty minutes drive south of Adelaide), Mosquito Hills' vineyards are north facing with an elevation of about 800 feet--great terroir for growing exceptional Pinot Noir.

The vineyard is dry grown, with the wine made under the stewardship of Peter Leske. The result: one of the VERY best $20 Chardonnays from ANYWHERE we've tasted in a while, much like Mosquito's Pinot Noir. Like its Pinot brother, this first-time import fires on all cylinders.
