Malgra Marvenga Barolo is EXTRAORDINARY value among top-shelf Barolos. Malgra is a dynamic Piedmontese producer making Barolo from Nebbiolo grapes grown in several vineyards, selected for their finesse, structure, flavor and aroma. Marvenga is a particularly compelling single-vineyard expression--our Tasting Panel Consensus rating on this wine was 91 points.

Malgra Marvenga Barolo is garnet red in color with a nose of berries, spice, dried flowers and licorice. Dry, medium-full-bodied with good acidity and focused tannins, the wine offers flavors of blackberry, black cherry, vanilla and spice. It was aged in large Slavonian oak barrels traditional in this region, preserving the wine's natural flavors while imparting only a nuance of oak to the wine. The wine is well balanced to drink now and over the next 8-10 years. The finish is long and flavorful.
