Incredibly lush, dense, ripe, this Syrah-driven blend is one such wine. 2004 Les Verrieres de Montagnac "Clos des Soutyeres" is everything great Chateneuf du Pape dreams of being & arguably rivals great Hermitage or Cote Rotie, but at a fraction of the price.

Only 125 cases of this incredible gem were imported into the US on the first go-around and sold out within weeks—a small, second tranche has JUST LANDED! This is the perfect wine not just with lamb, but any roasted meat dish tonight and for a decade to come. Very concentrated blackberry, plum and cherry flavors. Notes of chocolate, which linger on the finish. 70% Syrah, 20% Grenache and 10% Carignane. Drink now through 2010.
