Russian River Valley, California

Merlot is back, in case you haven't noticed--and candidly, with a vengeance. 2005 JT Cellars Russian River Valley Merlot is perfect example of why. A new release from the prestigious Russian River Valley of Sonoma, this wine is big, juicy & immediately gratifying, exhibiting all the characteristics that made us fall in love with Merlot (once upon a time) in the first place. Our Tasting Panel deemed this serious Merlot worthy of at least twice this price. Very limited production.

JT Cellars Merlot is dark ruby red with a nose of plums, cherries, blackberries, earth, and tobacco. Medium-full in body with moderate acidity and supple tannins, the wine offers rich flavors of cassis, plum, raspberry, blackberry, and oak. Well balanced to enjoy now, it will drink well for 6-7 years. It is smooth, rich and polished on the finish.

Enjoy JT Cellars Merlot with grilled flank steak, roasted lamb chops, pasta, and cheeses.
