To those in the know, Geografico's Super Tuscan has been a wine to buy by the case for a number of years now. It's simply a GREAT Super-Tuscan without the Sassicaia, Tignanello or Ornellaia-like price! And just in case you still needed proof as to exactly HOW good this wine is, the 2004 vintage last year received a 90 point score from Wine Spectator.

Geografico "Ferraiolo" Toscana is Geografico's Super Tuscan made from top-flight vineyards in the Chianti Classico region. It is a blend of 60% Sangiovese and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. Only 1050 cases made.

2005 Geografico "Ferraiolo" is dark ruby red in color with a nose of cherry, cassis, blackberry, vanilla and spice. Full-bodied with moderate acidity and silky tannins, the wine offers robust flavors of blackberries, black cherries, black currants, vanilla, and oak. It was aged 14 months in French oak barrels. With beautiful richness and complexity, it offers enjoyment now and over the next 10-12 years. The finish is rich and enduring.
