The 2004 Geografico Chianti Classico Riserva Montegiachi was an incredible value: 91 point eRobertParker.com rated Chianti Classico Riserva for just north of $20 per bottle by the case.

Neal Martin wrote for Parker, awarding the 2004 a STUNNNING 91 points: "A clear deep garnet core. The nose is well-defined, complex with some lovely ripe raspberry and cranberry notes with a touch of wild hedgerow and just a faint hint of eau-de-vie. The palate is medium-bodied with good acidity, lively, real tension here, quite modern in style with lovely purity and harmony with some fine tannins on the finish. Very graceful with some aging potential. Drink now-2013. Tasted April 2008."
