Absolutely dynamite Vino Nobile from this rising-star Tuscan producer! Geografico's Super Tuscan (Ferraiolo) and Brunello have impressed us for years, and this 2004 Cerraia Vino Nobile di Montepulciano joins the ranks of exceptionally well-made wines in the Geografico stable.

Made from Prugnolo Gentile, Canaiolo and Mammolo,classic Tuscany grape varieties which have undergone a revival over the last decade. In fact, one could argue that Vino Nobile di Montepulciano such as "Cerraia" is starting to rival many Brunello di Montalcino at virtually half price!

Aged in 100% French barrique, 2004 Geografico Cerraia Vino Nobile di Montepulciano exhibits an outstanding perfume of leather, sea salt, white truffle and lavender leading to a full bodied, very structured and layered palate. Even though it is quite approachable now, it will develop for another 7-8 years.
