A blend of 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 70% Merlot, aged in 90% new French oak for 16 months, 2004 Chateau Clarke has an expressive nose of blackcurrant, cherry and plum, with hints of mocha, chocolate, smoke and spice. A powerful attack of fruit gives way to a deep, fleshy mid-palate with ripe tannins. Long, fleshy and quite silky, 2004 Chateau Clarke is extremely enjoyable now and for 15+ years to come!
