New style, juicy, VERY well done Tempranillo. 2005 Bokisch Tempranillo is compelling proof that this varietal doesn't just strut its stuff in its native Spain!

Purple-black in color, bokisch Tempranillo displays complex aromas of ripe blackberries, cassis and hints of coffee. It is luscious and round on the palate with delicately integrated tannins and a soft finish. Black Currants and raspberry flavors combine beautifully with some clove spice and moderate acidity. As in the traditional style of the Rioja, it is blended with highly prized Graciano. 2005 Bokisch Tempranillo exhibits the varietal character of this noble grape along with a bold California winemaking style. This wine will continue to age well for 5-8 years.

COMPOSITION: 95% Tempranillo; 5% Graciano CLONE SELECTION: Duero AGING: 16 months in French Oak Barrels, 40% new oak
