Wow! Brooding, dark & dense! If you’re a lover of big reds, this inaugural release produced by Bruce Walker of Starry Night fame for Averill Lake is not to be missed. Petite does not describe this rich, hearty dry red of intense blackberry fruit.

Averill Lake Petite Sirah is a limited-production wine named for the winemaker’s favorite place in the US. This is quintessential Petite Sirah for the red wine lover. Only 535 cases made.

Averill Lake Petite Sirah is deep black-red in color with a beautiful nose of blackberries, black raspberries, spice and vanilla. It is full-bodied with velvety tannins, moderate acidity and rich flavors of blackberries, black raspberries, cassis, vanilla and spice, with nicely integrated oak. Dense and jammy with beautiful balance, this red is long and sweet on the finish.

Enjoy Averill Lake Petite Sirah over the next 5-6 years with osso bucco, lasagna, eggplant Parmesan, and cheeses.
