Like Turkey Flat Rose? Look no further than this inaugural release from the boys at Starry Night at half the price.

Keesha Rose, a mere 350 case batch, is the result of saignee (see definition below) of several different lots of grapes, yielding a small quantity of absolutly stunning pink juice.

Darker than typical rose, and also infinitely more flavorful, Keesha Rose does not hold back. Some tropical fruit aromas (mango, papaya) on the nose are followed up by a mix of juicy / tart flavors, reminiscent of cranberry, and a bit more heft that you would expect from a rose. The wine is totally dry, but the ample fruit gives the impression of slight sweetness. The varietal mix is largely Zinfandel, with some Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Petite Sirah.

Saignée (France): This winemaking process involved bleeding off a portion of red wine after only a short period of contact of the juice with the grape skins. Because the colour of red wine is derived from pigments in the skins, the juice is only pink not red.



"Case discount price" reflects a 10% case discount (5% on Sparkling Wines) for any mixed-case purchase of 12 bottles or more shipped to a single address. "Special prices" (e.g. on gift sets) are final prices for any order, and these bottles also count toward a 12-bottle minimum to qualify for a case discount.
