Starry Night Old Vine Zinfandel Montafi Vineyard comes from this single vineyard in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma with vines dating from the early 1900’s. These vines are head-pruned and dry-farmed and produce a very limited crop, averaging between one and two tons per acre. Production for this vintage was a mere 230 cases. Hurry while supply lasts!

2005 Starry Night Old Vine Zinfandel Montafi Vineyard is dark ruby red in color with a brooding nose of raspberry, cherry, cassis, anise, spice and white pepper. Full-bodied with moderate acidity and soft tannins, this old-vines Zin delivers rich, complex flavors of raspberry, cherry, cassis, vanillan oak and spice. Aged for over 20 months in both American and French oak barrels. It is beautifully balanced with a lustfully long, flavorful finish.
