Interested in exploring Bordeaux-style wines beyond California and Washington State? Look no further than this South African beauty.

2004 Seidelberg Un Deux Trois consists of approximately equal parts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, providing a multi-facetted taste experience. The Seidelberg Estate still adheres to the old style of fermenting in open fermentors, and aging in oak barrels from a wide variety of cooperages in order to expand the already rich and complex character of their wines.

2004 Seidelberg Estate Un Deux Trois' nose of fruits and wild spices is quickly followed by intense flavors of blackcurrants, cherries, and smoky fruit, complemented by undertones of cocoa and oak. More fruit forward than a young Bordeaux but at the same time significantly more terroir-driven than most West Coast reds, Seidelberg's Meritage blend is quite layered, with a long finish that nicely juxtaposes fruit and earth notes.

Enjoy this wine now and over the next 6-8 years with chicken, steak, BBQ, creamy and red sauced dishes, and hard cheeses.

2007 GOLD MEDAL WINNER- THE OLD MUTUAL TROPHY WINE SHOW

ORIGINS: The Seidelberg farm was originally established in 1680, granted by Simon van der Stel, as De Leuwen Jagt. The meaning of the original name in Dutch was "The lion hunt". Since the construction of the Estate's first cellar circa 1700 Seidelberg has produced wines of distinction for true wine enthusiasts. Grapes at the Seidelberg Estate are harvested by hand in baskets, and placed onto sorting tables to remove any bunches which do not meet their stringent quality standards. The grapes are transported in baskets or small wooden bins in order to keep them in the best possible condition. Using a tried and tested mixture of centuries old tradition combined with modern technology, they carefully nurture each batch, through every stage of their evolution, all the way to the bottle.

"Case discount price" reflects a 10% case discount (5% on Sparkling Wines) for any mixed-case purchase of 12 bottles or more shipped to a single address. "Special prices" (e.g. on gift sets) are final prices for any order, and these bottles also count toward a 12-bottle minimum to qualify for a case discount. FOR ALL OTHER ORDERS OF FEWER THAN 12 BOTTLES IN TOTAL, REGULAR PRICES WILL BE APPLIED WHEN WE PROCESS YOUR FINAL INVOICE.
